General Summary:  To provide Divisional Field Service Technicians effective and thorough technical support which ensures ongoing customer satisfaction.  The Level III Technician performs the same technical field functions as a Field Service Technician in addition to communicating with Field Service Management and Dispatch to ensure that their technicians perform quality work in an efficient and professional manner. In addition this position is responsible for the troubleshooting, installation and performing unscheduled repairs of customer owned equipment including, but not limited to:


  • Systems Equipment (Conveyor, VLM’s, Mobile Aisle, TRT’s, AGV’s, etc.)
  • Troubleshoots problems pertaining to breakdowns on customer equipment.
  • Performs field equipment installations
  • iWarehouse (iWarehouse installations and implementations and troubleshooting/repairs).
  • Performs scheduled maintenance on equipment and recommended necessary repairs.
  • Manage and assist with Raymond technical projects as required.
  • New hire training and onboarding

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides technical assistance to all Divisional Service Technicians and Team Leaders.
  • Provides technical support for demonstration and ongoing support of Raymond iWarehouse and related products and services.
  • Identifies problems within territory and initiates proactive solution for the team/department
  • Performs scheduled maintenance on equipment and recommended necessary repairs.
  • Troubleshoots problems pertaining to breakdowns on customer equipment.
  • Assists technicians in troubleshooting difficult repairs and demonstrates willingness to work alongside team members.
  • Opens and closes work orders with Dispatch, provides service repair narratives (written and verbal) for customers, submits paperwork for time worked, and completes repairs in a neat, accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintains part inventory and supplies in van.
  • Enforces all safety procedures per Company Safety policy.
  • Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.


  • Knowledge of reading schematics, maps, blueprints, and manuals.
  • Knowledge of material handling equipment and industry, governmental and customer safety requirements, and equipment operation.
  • Superior knowledge in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and material handling equipment.
  • Ability to exhibit a professional demeanor, and develop customer relations and superior service.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) with all levels of an organization internally and externally.
  • Ability to communicate and interact with various types of personalities and authority within an organization.
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions using Microsoft Office products and Internet.
  • Requires Level II Certification at time of hire.

Education and Experience:

  • Requires a minimum of a high school diploma/GED and secondary training in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulics along with a minimum of 5 years practical skills experience in material handling industry. 
  • Incumbent must possess good people skills, strong verbal communication, and basic computer familiarity and knowledge.  
  • The position requires the employee to drive a company vehicle, they must maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record as defined in the Company’s vehicle policy.
