    In today’s world of big data and analytics often times the message of what the data is telling us can get lost without someone who understands the mechanical and operational information from the data itself.  Associated is looking for a technical expert in the field of material handling equipment that will be able to provide our clients with real world solutions to improve their operation. 


    General Summary:  The Fleet Technical Specialist is responsible for analyzing maintenance reports, telematics data and relevant information for the purpose of presenting cost saving strategies to our customer base.  Additionally, this position acts as the technical resource for the Company’s Customer Advocate position. 

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Analyzes equipment service work orders, telematics data and other relevant reports to identify trends and root cause analysis.
    • Develops, evaluates and presents executive reports summarizing customer fleet utilization, maintenance cost trends and develops the recommended cost saving initiatives.
    • Develops standard Fleet Management Reports that provide valuable insight to customers as it relates to their material handling equipment.
    • Executes the iWarehouse Aftercare program to ensure Customer Satisfaction with the solution.
    • Communicates and provides technical guidance to Fleet Management customers, customer maintenance technicians, 3rd Party Service Suppliers and Raymond regarding maintenance and/or replacement decisions.
    • Builds strong working relationships with 3rd Party and Raymond Dealer service providers to facilitate their commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
    • Serves as the technical resource for Customer Advocates when dealing with questions related in invoice resolution.
    • Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.


    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Proficient understanding of Microsoft office products such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
    • Extensive technical knowledge of material handling product lines and applicable safety guidelines.
    • Skilled in developing and presenting accurate and concise reports using a variety of software programs.
    • Ability to make objective decisions based on technical research.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with departmental staff as well as internal and external customers within all levels of an organization.
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and use good time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently, with a strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to work with all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
    • Ability to analyze data for the use of developing customer solutions to provide for project application.
    • Ability to apply sound judgment, reasoning, and strong analytical problem solving skills.
    • Ability to investigate and analyze information, draw conclusions and recommend decisive action.
    • Ability to understand and communicate technical data.


    Education and Experience This position requires a High School Diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of one year of post-secondary education. Five (5) plus year’s field experience as a technician in the material handling industry is preferred.  A Bachelor Degree in Science or Analytics field is preferred.  Prior Raymond factory interface is a plus.
