  • Overview

    The Parts Consignment Representative manages and maintains parts inventory for customer consignment cabinets.  This position performs delivery and transfers of all parts, supplies, and accompanying paperwork to consignments, customers, and technicians.  The Parts Consignment Representative will also serve as direct liaison between customer and Associated in regard to most parts related issues. 

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Delivers parts, paperwork, and supplies to customers and technicians.
    • Performs physical installation and removal of customer inventories.
    • Maintains customer inventories by counting, documenting, and replenishing stock.
    • Maintains customer relations by handling parts related inquiries and conveying established policies and procedures.
    • Documents overages and shortages at consignment locations and forwards to Parts Department for follow up.
    • Schedules company van maintenance (oil changes, car washes, miscellaneous repairs, etc.).
    • Provides excellent customer relations by exchanging information with courtesy and consideration.
    • Effectively communicates customer issues and concerns regarding accounts to Parts Manager and FSMs.
    • Presses tires for customers and technicians as needed.
    • Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.

    Qualifications

    • Knowledge of 10-key, Microsoft Office products, and ERP system.
    • Skilled in customer relations.
    • Skilled in both written and oral communications with all levels of an organization.
    • Ability to match, sort and collate information as well as organize data.
    • Ability to operate various forklifts and complete required SOTM training for the same.
    • Ability to perform research and utilize multiple sources in order to expedite orders to fulfill both internal and external customer needs.
    • Ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize work, with strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to exercise sound judgment and apply reason.

    Education and Experience:  

    • Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent, along with a minimum of six months practical skills experience in a customer service role. 
    • Incumbent should possess basic computer familiarity and knowledge.
    • Must maintain a good driving record as required under the Company’s Safety Program.
