    General Summary:  The primary function of this position is to perform duties that will support the Company’s Initiatives to elevate our brand image and effectively increase revenue by identifying and aggressively pursuing high level contacts at prospect accounts under the direction of the Marketing Manager.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Analyzes the Company’s market to identify growth opportunities and high level contacts at prospective customers.
    • Develops new business growth strategies to identify leads and prospect continuously for new customers using multiple channels.
    • Creates awareness and educate prospects on the Company’s brand elements.
    • Places follow-up calls related to marketing programs/activities to generate interest and produce stronger sales leads.
    • Processes inbound telephone, website and e-mail inquiries and convert them into qualified leads.
    • Qualifies and provides follow-up on all leads provided by the Company’s vendor partners.
    • Updates the customer/prospect database with new contact names, company information and product/service detail.
    • Develops value added relationships with all customer facing staff.
    • Assists in completing various marketing projects as required.
    • Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.


    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Skilled in persuasive oral and written communications, including the ability to engage in meaningful conversations with all levels of an organization internal and external.
    • Must demonstrate skill(s) in the areas of business development and sales.
    • Must be able to take initiative and to act independently as appropriate situations dictate.
    • Must support ability to present information effectively and to respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.
    • Must demonstrate ability to analyze market data [sales, marketing and other internal/external] and develop recommendations and solutions.        
    • Must be able to meticulously record activities with prospects as well as new contacts within the existing database.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Publisher and Word.
    • Knowledge of CRM Software systems.
    • Ability to plan and prioritize work.
    • Ability to exercise creativity and attention to detail.   

    Education and ExperienceThis position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and minimum of 2 years with a proven track record of success in sales, business development and project management.
